Welcome to st. paul christian school!

Excellence in Education for Eternity

St. Paul Lutheran School is a private Christian school in Roseburg, Oregon, that offers a unique educational experience for children in preschool through sixth grade.  We also offer a certified child care program that runs before and after school 50 weeks per year.

Our school, preschool, and child care provide a caring, Christian learning community that inspires families to walk with Jesus and challenges each student to personal excellence.  Also, St. Paul students consistently score in the top 10% of standardized tests!

St. Paul is participating in the pilot QRIS (Quality Rating and Improvement System), and has its fourth-star rating. This quality rating means we exceed essential evaluation standards that support quality early learning for all children. We are among the first programs in the state to participate and receive a rating. Please click here to learn more about our QRIS rating!

"St. Paul has been a blessing in our lives….With the help of St. Paul we have watched our children grow with confidence, respect, and a love for academics.  They come home excited to learn in a positive and safe environment….[St. Paul] supports us as parents to teach our kids about the love of God.  Our world is full of people and values that are eager to teach our children otherwise.  St. Paul has helped build a Christian foundation for our children.  They will take this with them for the rest of their lives.  They will also invest in future generations." | Read more testimonials from parents

  • The school year is flying by, just like the most recent learning experience in the 1st/2nd grade classroom! This fall we studied butterflies and invited them into our classroom. Much to the delight of the students, all 5 caterpillars emerged as butterflies a few weeks after they arrived.  We studied their life cycle, learning that each butterfly must go through…(click here for more)

why choose a lutheran school?

The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod (headquarters in Missouri) operates the largest, single-denomination, non-Catholic, private Christian school system in the United States with over 2,000 schools currently. Here are some reasons you should send your child to a Lutheran elementary school. Lutheran schools:

  • are driven by a commitment to the Gospel and focused on a mission of bringing hope and healing to students and their families.
  • meet or exceed state and national academic standards at all grade levels.
  • help to develop a minimum of 30 developmental assets in children, including a commitment to learning, positive values, social competencies, constructive use of time, boundaries and expectations, and support.
  • have educators who model visionary leadership: they build up others and empathize with others.
  • have educators who model servant leadership.
  • have educators who model spiritual leadership: they study God's Word, exhibit a passion for ministry, act courageously, equip God's people for service, care for others, demonstrate integrity, and pray.

Our teachers and staff believe strongly in shepherding your child’s heart towards a loving relationship with Jesus and with others. While learning respectful behavior is a high priority at St. Paul, our educators guide our students toward a heart attitude that is an overflow of the grace shown to us by God. Through the process of education and faith, it is our intent to bring our students into a loving relationship with our Savior, a sharing relationship with peers, and a caring relationship with the community and world. Our students are truly dazzled with the love of Jesus at St. Paul School!
